I’m Adrian Griffee. I started Platinum Pools and Outdoor Living in 2004, and I still design every project and walk every jobsite myself. I take eight to ten projects a year so that stays true.

How I run the company
I build a small number of pools each year. That is a deliberate choice.
Most pool builders in DFW run on volume. They quote dozens of jobs a month and hand each one to a project manager, and the owner you met at the consultation is gone by the time the dig starts.
I do the opposite. I meet every client myself, design every project, and I’m on site through every trade: excavation, steel, plumbing, gunite, tile, coping, decking and plaster. When something has to be decided in the field, I’m the one standing there to decide it.
That only works at eight to ten projects a year, so that is where I cap it. I turn work down to keep it there.
The difference between a good pool and a great one is whether someone is paying attention to the small decisions, every day, for the whole build.

I’m there for every phase of every build. No project managers and no sales team. Decisions get made in the yard, by the person whose name is on the company.
Itemized proposals
Every line is spelled out. No bundled package pricing and no vague allowances. You see what each element costs before you sign.
Gunite, engineered for North Texas soil
I build gunite pools only. Every shell is engineered for the expansive clay we have here, not built from a stock plan.
Lifetime structural warranty
The pool shell is covered for life, and the warranty transfers to the next owner if you sell the home.
What most pool builders will not quote
Structural steel, fabricated in-house.
Cantilevered roofs, floating fire walls and modern architectural canopies are designed, engineered and fabricated in my own shop, alongside the pool. Most pool builders sub this work out or pass on it.
Building it myself is how the structure, the water and the hardscape end up reading as one design. Not every backyard calls for steel. When yours does, it is built by the same people building the pool.

How long has Platinum Pools been building in DFW?
Since 2004. Same owner and same market the whole time.
Why do you only take eight to ten projects a year?
So I can be on every jobsite for every phase. A builder running fifty or more projects a year cannot give each one the owner’s attention. Capping the number is how I protect the work I do take.
How long does a new pool take?
Plan on 16–18 weeks for a new build, depending on scope, weather and HOA approval. I give you a schedule before you sign.
How does the warranty work?
Every pool I build carries a lifetime structural warranty on the shell. It transfers to the next owner if you sell the home. Equipment carries its manufacturer warranties, which I register for you.
Do you build outdoor living projects without a pool?
Yes, when the schedule allows. Pool projects and combined pool and outdoor living projects come first, but I take standalone pavilion, outdoor kitchen and architectural steel projects when the scope fits.
What does the process look like?
A consultation with me at your home, a design for the whole backyard, a fully itemized proposal, the build, then a walkthrough and warranty handoff. The project planning page covers each phase.
